The winter cold weather has arrived so what better way to stay warm than attending one of my card club classes!  They will be held on Sunday December 8th, Monday night the 9th and again on Saturday the 14th.  We always welcome new members and have a lot of fun.  Look at these great projects we will be making this month:

 


Using the new Sparkle & Shine WOTG pack I have created this bright and cheery layout just in time for your Christmas photos.

Check out this fun gift bag using the December stamp of the month and the colorful Sarita paper.

Once again using the Sparkle & Shine paper along with one of our great "M" size stamps you will create this card.

Using another "M" size stamp set you will make this 3x3 card which is great to add to a gift bag or package.

As we head into the holiday season it is time to think about some fun holiday gifts to make for yourself or others.  I will be doing a workshop on November 16th and 17th from 11am-1pm to make this cute advent calendar.  For $35 you will get this new décor frame Close To My Heart is offering in our new catalog, the parts to construct twenty-five cute boxes, tissue paper and twenty-five clothes pins.  You will put these together and stamp up your days and this is what your finished project will look like.  Hope you can attend this great workshop.

The days are shorter and the leaves are changing, so this must be October!!  Classes will be the weekend of the 5th, 6th and 7th.  Everyone is welcome to come on by and create the three featured cards, two page layout or both!  We have a lot of fun and it is always nice to leave with completed projects.

Using our new cricut cartridge Artbooking, I have cut out the fancy designs in Barn Red.  The special stamp set used is from the Huntington WOTG kit.

Since it is Halloween time at the end of the month we need to make a Halloween themed card!!

Close To My Heart has added eight new "M" size stamps.  They are only $2.95 each and can be used on a regular sized card or on a 3x3 card as shown here.  They are great to have on hand when you need to make a quick card.

We all say we are going to make our own Christmas cards to send out and suddenly the holidays are here and gone--then we say maybe next year!  Well I have the solution for you this year--a 50 Christmas card workshop to get them done.  On Saturday October 26th or Sunday October 27th (from10am-3pm) you can join some other fantastic people for a day of creating and completing your cards.  I have created five different cards and you will make 10 of each design.  Cost for the workshop is only $35.00 which includes 50 card bases, 50 envelopes, silver shimmer tape, a bottle of silver glitz glue, a package of mounting tape and all the pieces cut for you.  All you need to do is show up, stamp your images, add some color if you want, bling it up and DONE!!  Don't miss out on this one.

Here are all five of the cards you will be creating.  There are actually 3 penguins, 3 snowman, 3 polar bears and several other icons on the nutcracker stamp set so you can mix up each of the four sets of cards with different stamps from the sets. The Let it Snow card with the trees is the only stamp so you will make 10 of these.

Seems like summer was just starting and soon the days will be shorter and the nights colder!  Heading into September only means one thing........new card club classes begin!!  Mark your calendars for the start of a new season of fun card making and scrap book pages.  This year we will be starting classes over the Labor Day weekend because of finishing up the boat racing season.  I know this may be your last weekend hurrah before settling back into work and school routines, but I have added a Tuesday night class (September only) to accommodate those unable to make a weekend class.  Look at the fun projects we will be doing in September:

We always do a card featuring the stamp of the month.  This month is: Poster Tidings S1309 and has a fall stamp and a Christmas stamp so you will be able to do one or the other depending on your needs.

 

Check out this great stamp set: Happy Autumn  D1550.  We are using the new paper pack Huntington to showcase this great set.  Huntington has such fun fall colors.

Gotta love the new mini stamp sets that are now available in the new catalog.  What fun sets for only $2.95 each.  It will be fun showcasing them in our monthly 3x3 cards we do.  Everyone always needs a thank-you card on hand and these are so bright and cheery using the new Sarita paper.

 

 

 

Close To My Heart has done it again--they have a new cricut cartridge (third one) in the new catalog and this one is very specific to mini albums and scrap booking pages.  Using the new Laughing Lola workshop-on-the-go paper and stamp set, the pattern was cut out using the new cricut cartridge Artbooking.  I hope to feature a new design from this cartridge each month with our class layouts.

Just in time for summer sun and fun is this layout featuring the Tommy Workshop on the go.  Love all the bright colors of this paper pack.

This card was made using the June Stamp of the Month.  The card on the left shows the front which is a double fold on the front. The card to the right is what the inside looks like.

This month in place of our traditional 3x3 cards we will be making these fun wallet gift cards.  What a great way to give someone that gift card in a handmade card.

The May classes will be on the 4th, 5th and 6th.  Mother's day is celebrated in the month of May and of course we always think flowers--which is part of the theme for our class projects.  Hopefully all this snow we have been having the last few weeks will be gone and the flowers will start appearing.

Stamp of the Month--Pinwheel

 Hello Blooms is the stamp set used for this card. The flowers were cut out using the Artiste cartridge, stamped and then curled up the edges.  I hand created the flower pot and ran the pieces through the cuttlebug to add some texture.

Hello Tweety  and card bases cut out using the cricut make these 3x3 cards quick and easy.

The Chantilly WOTG helped create these flowers for our May layout.

April Showers.......

We had a good time at the April classes and everyone seems to really enjoy the cards and layouts they make each month.  The April Stamp of the Month is very versatile and can be used for so many different occasions.  All the girls really enjoyed creating the paper doll card and "dressing" her up.  The 3x3 cards again were cut out by the cricut and featured some retired paper Mayberry.

 The April Stamp of the Month has the option of hot air balloons, a cute bird or a big sun (card not shown).  You can still purchase this set until the end of April.

Now how cute are these paper dolls?  There is another outfit you can add to her (a short outfit with a little purse--not shown) or leave her in her undies and color those.  So many different sentiments can be added to this card.

Buzz and Bumble paper is so cute and with the exclusive stamp set from the WOTG you can add some great quotes and the little bee buzzing on the page.

March Madness

As we get older time seems to go faster and faster, so I apologize for not getting these posted sooner.  In March we created a quilted card using the stamp of the month, a fun egg card (since Easter was at the end of March this year) and some cute 3x3 cards using Petite Perks.  It was nice to see some paper that could be used for the boys in our lives, so the layout this month was Later Sk8r.

Happy Easter Everyone

 The Petite Perks stamp set this month was so cute and using some past paper--Elemental--we created these cards.  These were cut out using the cricut and Art Philosophy cartridge exclusively from Close to My Heart.

This layout was created from the Later Sk8r Workshop on the Go paper pack and exclusive stamp set.  I always create my own layout pattern for my customers so that if they choose to purchase the WOTG kit they can copy that layout in the recipe to add to this one.

February Class Projects

Well I have been AWOL for the past few months and I need to do a better job posting (and then maybe I will get a few more followers!!)  Thanks to my customer Carol for motivating me to get rolling again.  I am behind on showing you the class projects so I will back up and show the last few months projects in case anyone is looking for some new ideas.  These are what we did in February:

February Stamp of the Month--Home Sweet Home

This cute card features an "A" size stamp set Bumble Bee which sell for $6.95

This layout was made using the Claire Workshop on the Go.  This was a fun pattern to do and makes for a unique design when the pages are put together side by side.

Classes will be this weekend and I wanted to share with you the projects we will be doing.  It is suppose to be very cold, so come on over, get out of the cold and do some crafting with us.

This 2 page layout will be featuring the beautiful La Belle Vie paper with some fancy squares cut out by the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.

This beautiful card, also using the La Belle Vie paper, is showcasing the January stamp of the Month which will only be available until January 31st and then it will be unavailable.

This fun card uses the Dakota paper pack and can be used for male or female.  Sometimes it is hard to create for the guy in your life--but this one is sure to please!

Of course we always like to have a 3x3 card and this month is no exception.  Here is a perfect card to add to your bag or gift for that someone special on Valentine's Day.  This card uses the embossing technique.
